About ATP Miami Masters

The total prize money for ATP Miami Masters is $9,314,875. Usually, the prize money increases each year, with an estimated 4%. An exception to this rule are the Grand Slams, where the prize money might increase a lot more each year. Also, please be aware that prize money for a Grand Slam is split equally between the men and the women tournament.

Also known as Miami Masters, the Miami Open is a mixed tournament played in March in Key Biscayne, Florida, on the Tennis Center at Crandon Park. It has been announced to permanently move at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens with the 2019 edition. It's one of the few ATP and WTA events where the singles draw for both men and women involves more than 64 players and lasts more than a week. The tournament has been criticized for being the slowest hardcourt, developing in harsh weather conditions also. Compared to the other tournaments, Miami Open is pretty new given its first edition took place in 1985. Serena Williams won the most women's singles of the tournament, but just with two consecutive ones.
