Roger Federer is all set to face Alexander Zverev in one of the ATP tour finals game, as he has been given a difficult draw. Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal heads the other group as he goes out in search of a victory. The ATP finals will be taking place from November 12 to November 19. London will be hosting the event, which will take place at the O2 Arena. Federer comes into the event as the six-time champion, and he has been placed in the same group containing Zverev.
Zverev is one of the highly rated young tennis players around. He happens to be extremely confident in his abilities that he skipped the NextGen finals in order to compete against the likes of Nadal and Federer. He has been one of the top young stars of 2017, and he has established this reputation by moving up to 3rd place in the world rankings. This astonishing rise up the table has been down to victories at the two Master 1000 tournaments so far.
There are still some uncertainty surrounding Nadal, who is still having a problematic knee that forced him to withdraw from a few tournaments towards the end of the season. However, he is part of the group and has been placed alongside the likes of Grigor Dimitrov, David Goffin, and Dominic Thiem.
Speaking ahead of the event, Zverev claims that he will be giving his all in order to try and win the event. The tournament also witnesses Dimitrov finally being able to reach this stage of the event. He has long been predicted to be a regular at the ATP finals, but he is now turning up as one of the three players to reach this event for the first time in their careers. Sock and Goffin make up the rest of the newcomers in this tournament.
